Youths care @ PAYM

On 27 October 2012, YEC conducted an excursion to Gardens by the Bay.  The contingent of 34, consisting of Kebun Baru Youth Executive Committee members, volunteers and 5 families toured around Gardens by the Bay. YEC members were attached to the families and led them around various parts of the garden, like the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and OCBC Skyway. At the Flower Dome, many were fascinated by the beauty of the flowers and exotic plants. While at the Cloud Forest, many were awed by the majestic waterfall. Walking along the OCBC Skyway, participants had a close up view of the flower pods and took in the view of the skyscrapers in the city in a distance. Everyone went home with wonderful memories and plenty of photographs.

Youth Care @ PAYM

On 22 October, YEC had a day of fun and action! The 30 contingent, consisting of Kebun Baru Youth Executive Committee members, volunteers and children from the KBCC KidsREAD programme had a fishing competition at the Bottle Tree Park at Yishun. Each children and their volunteer buddy did their best to catch as many fishes as possible, some even resort to using bare hands! This was followed by lunch at Swensens and the kids gobbled up the food and desserts in no time.
